This terminology refers to the strength of the magnet that the MRI system utilizes. In the past, low-field systems did not give the image quality that is attained with closed high-field tunnel systems. GE has developed new state-of-the-art Open-MRI systems. Our GE OpenSpeed MRI system is the world’s first and most advanced high-field Open-MRI system. Its sophisticated hardware and software systems provide image quality that out-performs other manufacturer’s higher field tunnel MRI systems. A number of other technical parameters, other than field strength, factor into image quality. These parameters are components of our GE OpenSpeed MRI system and additional efforts are extended to exceed related manufacturer specifications.
The persons operating and interpreting the images also factor greatly into resulting image quality and patient examination results. At Advanced MRI, all technologists have MRI certifications, we have the only MRI physicist in the state, and all radiologists interpreting the exams are board-certified and have MRI fellowship specialty training. Advanced MRI has effectively combined and optimized a variety of important features into one center with unsurpassed MRI services.
