ADVANCED MRI TO PROVIDE OPEN-MRI SERVICES IN BILLINGS

Billings, MT (April 10, 2006) - Commuters may have noticed construction at 1099 North 27th Street in the Medical Corridor, but few know the significance.  It is the home of Advanced MRI, the regions only Open-MRI imaging center.

Open-MRI services are generally required for claustrophobic or larger patients, although, traditional tunnel MRI exams can leave just about anyone feeling confined and anxious.  The state-of-the-art scanner at Advanced MRI accommodates these patients while providing high quality diagnostic MRI images physicians require. "The images are excellent," says Billings native and Rocky Mountain College alumni Tim Nagel, M.S.  He is a former medical university MRI research program director and the founder of the new Billings center.  "Brain, spine, knee, shoulder and body images are all excellent.”

Advanced MRI’s high-tech Open-MRI system is the ‘OpenSpeed’, manufactured by GE Medical Systems.  GE is the world market leader in MRI and has selected Advanced MRI as a National Showplace Site, a designation only a few centers achieve.  As a National GE Showplace Site, they have access to advanced technology ahead of other facilities and host GE customers considering related purchases.  Advanced MRI is committed to maintaining state-of-the-art excellence in their system and services, an important consideration for patients receiving care in environments with rapidly changing technology.
